Piano Recital

The children had their June Piano Recital this past weekend, and Mark and I are so very proud of our young musicians! Awards were also given, and both of them received certificates with Superior ratings for the National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festival. This was Christian's first year participating, and Madeline's fifth consecutive year. She also received an award from the Music Teachers' Association of California for her involvement in the Certificate of Merit program. She successfully completed her level. She was judged on performance, technique, sight reading, theory and ear training. Whew! Congratulations, kids!

Christian played Baa Baa Black Sheep, which was a duet with his teacher (who is in the picture above), Go Tell Aunt Rhody, and Circus Tumblers.




Madeline played Pachelbel's Canon, and The Happy Farmer.
